Dodger Game

Last Thursday my firm got a group together to go see the Dodgers play the Diamondbacks. I am not a Dodger or Diamondback fan but since we could invite people I decided to take Jeremy, Pam & Robin. Before the season started I told Jeremy we would go to a game because he is a big fan but hadn’t been to a game in years. In addition to them Taneal, Fernando & Dennis were going to the game . With this group my first instinct was to wear my Angels hat and jersey so I could get a rise out my Dodger friends but since I value my life I decided against it. In my view Dodger fans are almost as bad as Raider fans.

Any way, the game turned out to be a good one and once again because I value my life I found myself rooting for the boys in blue. At one point I thought they were going to pull off a come from behind victory but in the end they lost 6-4. The highlight of the night for me had to have come around the 7th inning. There was a girl a couple of rows in front of us who was blocking Pam’s view because she would not sit down. Pam asked me to toss a maltball at her to try and get her to sit down. I tried a couple of times to flick them at her in a way that no one would see me do it. When that didn’t work Pam took actions into her own hand by hurling one that nailed the girl directly in the buttocks. I wanted to fall off of my seat laughing but since she was looking around to see who did it I had to hold it in as to not draw attention to us.

Overall I would say I had a great time even though it was a Dodger game. If I had paid full price for my ticket I might have been a little disappointed though. The seats were tiny and uncomfortable with no leg room. I am also amazed at how expensive everything there is compared to Angel stadium. If you plan on eating be sure to bring plenty of money cause it's gonna cost ya.

Look, we were there.

Lover and a Fighter

The other day after school Kaleb and one of his friends had an altercation which led to them pushing him to the ground and him biting his lip. When he got home he walked in the door holding his lip and said “Mom you know how you say I am a lover not a fighter? Well now I’m both!”. Then he told me what had happened. Now JR and I are not happy about these kids messing with Kaleb but we can’t help but laugh when we think of our son who is now a lover and a “fighter”.

Our Celebrity Look-alikes

This is a neat little website that will take your uploaded photo and match it with celebrities that it thinks look like you. The only problem that I see is I think I am more of a match with Freeman Dyson than just 68%. I mean look at us we could be twins. At least I know what I have to look forward to when I turn 160 years old. Selena on the other hand apparently looks like Leonardo DiCaprio and I am not quite sure how to take that.

Clipper Box Suite

I was very fortunate recently to have been offered tickets for a box suite to a Clippers game. This wonderful offer cam from my buddy Matt who unfortunately could not attend. At first I was hesitant, going to the game meant driving to downtown LA to see the Clippers play the Grizzlies. I had a feeling it was going to be the most exciting game of the season and on top of that when it comes to basketball I only follow the Lakers. After pondering my decision for all of two seconds I accepted. I mean we are talking about free tickets to a box suite. How often am I going to get that chance. Since it was kind of last minute I asked my nephew Bradley to go with me. The game turned out to be more exciting than I had expected and the seats were amazing. We stayed for almost all of the game but decided to leave early to beat the traffic. Just across town the Dodgers were playing their game at the coliseum in front of a crowd of over 100,000. So, in my opinion if you ever get offered box suite tickets to a game I recommend going even if you don’t like the team.
