SeaWorld

Saturday June 21st Kaleb went to the Wild Animal Park with his Grandpa and cousins, so I decided to take Drayden to SeaWorld. We went with Anna and her daughters Kaylee and McKenna and we had a blast!! This was Draydens 3rd time going to SeaWorld and every time he is more and more fascinated. He absolutely loves Shamu and this time we got to see every animal up close. We fed the bat rays, or should I say I fed the bat rays. Drayden would not touch them. He eventually touched the water and was so proud of himself. We also fed the dolphins which was really cool. When you buy the fish they let you go in a roped off section, so the dolphins come right up to where you can feed and pet them. Once again Drayden would not even stick his hand in the water let alone touch the dolphin. He did really like the dolphins this time though. It was the first thing he told his daddy about when we got home. Drayden has been asking almost every day since if we can go to SeaWorld again.

It was so hot and we were looking all over for frozen lemonade. We finally found it. It was a self serve and then you get in line and pay. It was so hot that by the time we payed (and we only had a few people ahead of us) the "frozen" lemonade was more like regular lemonade.

Drayden with his lemonade

Anna and I started laughing so hard about the melted lemonade, I think the heat was starting to get to us.

Drayden and Mommy again

Mckenna was so funny everytime she saw flowers she would pick one and smell it and then would either give it to someone or put it in her hair. What a sweet girl.

The polar bear was sleeping right in front, so you could actually see him.
Kaylee, Drayden, and McKenna checking him out.

We had such a full day the kids were knocked out before we even got out of the parking lot.

This picture of Kaylee cracks me up, it was taken when we met JR so she was not happy when she was woken up. If looks could kill...

Our Boys

I love this picture of our boys so I thought I would share it.

New X-Files Movie....Finally

The new X-Files movie comes to theaters exactly one month from today! I have been waiting for this movie since the first one came out in 1998. I will definitely be seeing this in the theaters when it comes out.

Hangman

A few days ago, Kaleb and I were having a bite to eat at Del Taco. During our meal, Kaleb wanted to play hangman so we took turns coming up with puzzles for each other to solve. One of the puzzles he did for me had me completely stumped. It was a five letter word and I had all but one letter and it still made no sense to me. B R E _ O. The only thing I could think of was that he had misspelled the word so I started sounding it out. When that didn’t work I just gave up and made some random guesses so he could tell me what it was. He then triumphantly added the last letter and told me the word. B R E D O. I started cracking up. I grabbed a wrapper and show him that the correct spelling of the word was BURRITO. He kind of gave a funny little shrug that said oh well I still win. That got us laughing even more.

Just Me and My Boys

This weekend JR went with a friend to Santa Barbara, so it was just me and the boys. Friday evening we didn't do anything out of the ordinary except Kaleb and I killed a huge wolf spider outside. Saturday Kaleb had baseball practice in the morning. I dropped him off at practice and Drayden and I went to McD's for some breakfast. We went back to the field where Kaleb was practicing and I let Drayden play at the park for a little bit. Then we decided to go watch the rest of Kaleb's practice. Kaleb got up to bat and he was hitting the ball so good. The Coach told the other kids to move back further because he was hitting the ball all over the outfield. After practice we went back to the park. I decided since Kaleb had been so good I would take them to the movies so we went to see Speed Racer. The movie was a lot of fun. Of course after seeing the movie we had to go to McD's to get the Speed Racer happy meal toys. After that we went home and they spent the rest of the night playing and watching cartoons. It was a great day!!!

Mothers Day

Wow, Mothers Day was unforgetable this year. The Friday before Mothers day started off fine. I started a load of laundry and was giving Drayden a bath when I heard the toilet bubbling. I knew that was not good, so I quickly finished Draydens bath and when I unplugged the drain I could feel cold water from the washer coming up. Next thing I knew the toilet and the bath tub were over flowing. I called JR and he said he would check things out when he got home. A few hours later the toilet and tub were back to normal. We thought we would just be careful by not using the washer and call the land lord on Monday. So Saturday we were cleaning our carpets and Jr dumped the water from the carpet cleaner into the toilet. BIG MISTAKE!!! The toilets over flowed again and both of the showers starting filling up with dirty water. We called the landlord and he couldn't get any one out till Sunday (Mothers Day). So we had no toilets and no showers, we had to make trips to Krista and Ricks house to use their bathrooms. Finally at about 2:00 the plumber showed up and in about 15 minutes he had the problem fixed. Then life went back to normal, we ended up doing a bbq with just us. We had steaks with this yummy blue cheese sauce that we make, the best corn I've had in a long time (so crisp and juicy) and a cold pasta salad. We ate out on the patio and the kids got to play in the little pool with their squirt guns. I told JR during dinner that this was the best Mothers Day ever he said "yeah right". Let me tell you it really was, because it started out so bad that once the plumbing was fixed and the bathrooms were clean and we could actually use our own toilets life was good. Top that with spending the rest of the day watching the kids play and relaxing with JR plus the yummy dinner and desert, it really was a great day!!!!
